CLIMATE
Shenzhen is situated one degree south of the Tropic of Cancer, but due to the Siberian anticyclone, it has a tropical monsoonal climate with alternating wet (April to September) and dry (November to February) seasons. Shenzhen has a coastline of more than 230 kilometers to the south with a rugged backdrop of mountains in the north. Such a complex topography, along with its humid, warm climate, provides a rich diversity of habitats, ranging from subtropical rainforest, evergreen broadleaf forest, shrubland, and grassland to mangroves and coastal vegetation.
