Haikou Eco-Diversity Trail
OVERVIEW
Summary
Mission Hills Resort Haikou lies in the volcanic region of exotic Hainan Island, China. Nestled amid lush, green gardens, each of the championship golf courses incorporates innovative native lava rock formations that offer a "golfing on the moon" experience. In 2012, Guinness World Records accredited Mission Hills Resort Haikou as the "World's Largest Spa & Mineral Springs Resort". The resort has also been named "Golf Resort of the Year" and a National Low-Carbon Tourism Demonstration Area. The Eco Diversity Trail and Eco-Gallery in Haikou are part of Mission Hills' initiatives to promote sustainable tourism and environmental best practice to resort visitors.
Location
Encompassing the vast greenery along holes no. 9 through 16 of the Vintage Course, the Eco-Diversity Trail offers visitors the opportunity to experience the dazzling variety of wildlife in tropical habitats. The adventure begins with a boardwalk that leads to dirt and stone paths, winding through a forest of towering trees and hanging vines. The trail then emerges into open grasslands where visitors can enjoy a scenic stroll.

The 4 kilometers route takes about two and a half hours to complete.
